Jameson Black Barrel is a twice charred also triples distilled. I felt some strong vanilla in taste with rich cream. On the nose feel charred flavor and some sweet barely. Tastes like raisins, citrus and a bit smoky. And finish is smooth and balanced. It is single pot still and grain whiskey aged first time in ex-sherry and ex-bourbon and then 2nd time aged in extra charred ex-bourbon cask to give unique character and more complex. Jameson Black Barrel is aged between 8 to 16 years
